You like to think we are all in this together, but as you get older, and wiser, you realise there are some real wankers out there!

there was a time you always got a nod off other guys on bikes. Note I didnt say bikers. Bikers is a relatively new name for riders of bikes. With the name have come numerous hordes of moving road cones (harleys) and born again riders. Along with these is the new image of a friendly guy/gal and ordinary families moving amongst the riders with no worry of trouble breaking out.
I believe when you get the nod it is kind of a reassurance that if you break down they are here to help you (years ago you would be on your own and only a fellow rider would assist ) as ordinary people were a bit feared of you ??.I have noticed the harley riders do not lower themselves to my (our) level and ignore me (us) //
Sometimes there are a lot of bikes at once and you feel like a nodding dog so one big wave covers all ??.

When you become a biker, in my younger days you became part of a family and any other bikers would help you if you had broke down. And like with any family, there are disagreements but you respect each other and don't insult or be abusive, because one day that biker might be the biker that would be helping you.
Today, generally attitudes have changed, they are abusive, insulting and are generally self centred and don't like new members of the family.

If you think it's bad, go out with L plates on for a day... It's like you're not even there Laughing

Once you take the L's out though, most are alright. Even Harley riders nod at me now Laughing

I have never had any problems with Harley riders, got a few Harley biker friends in Lincs as well as other bikers.
